Tools to create an XML feed from a MySQL database table

Hi there

I'm now very happily using Magic Parser to process XML feeds but now find that I need to create my own XML feed from data in a MySQL database. I can do this manually, but it's a bit hacked together and was wondering whether anyone has found a similar tool to Magic Parser that actually creates XML feeds?

Here's hoping.

Jim

Hello Jim,

I'm not aware of any tools as such; as generally speaking constructing XML is far more straight forward than parsing it - it is just a case of constructing the appropriate output, taking care to make sure that XML entities are converted...

Cheers,
David.

Hi David

Thanks - I was just wondering whether there might have been a 'Magic XML Creator' script you knew about ;-).

In my experience the hardest thing with creating xml feed is the character encoding.

Cheers
