Encrypted script?

Submitted by jeady on Mon, 2006-08-07 19:05 in

Hi there. I've been searching for a script just like yours, but before I purchase I wanted to know if the script is encrypted (both for magicparser and pricetapestry)?

Regardless of your answer, I'll probably still purchase, because I've written ton's of scripts for sites and I've had to painfully build my own parsing routines that ended up being unique to the affiliates of that site.

Cheers.

John.

Hi John,

The Magic Parser script is white-space removed (pre-processed by the PHP executable) and is not intended to be modified. It used to be encrypted but the encoding system just caused too many compatability problems. This way, there is is no encoding system and the script works with all versions of PHP on all platforms.

Price Tapestry is "example source code" for using Magic Parser, and is normal PHP code which you can modify to your hearts content. It might be worth having a look at the "Show off your site" thread to see what some users have done with the script...

Hope this helps!

BTW, I purchased your script and it's great! Simple, clean, elegant!
